Excel Spreadsheet shortcuts!
Excel offers a variety of keyboard shortcuts to help you work more productively. Here are some of the keyboard shortcuts i use on a daily basis during the work day.
Navigation:
- Ctrl + Arrow Keys: Move to the edge of the current data region in a worksheet.
- Ctrl + Home: Move to the beginning of a worksheet.
- Ctrl + End: Move to the last cell of data on a worksheet, in the lowest used row of the rightmost used column.
Selection:
- Ctrl + A: select any cell on the spreadsheet
Copying and Pasting:
- Ctrl + C: Copy.
- Ctrl + X: Cut.
- Ctrl + V: Paste.
- Ctrl + Z: Undo.
- Ctrl + Y: Redo.
- Ctrl + B: Bold.
- Ctrl + I: Italic.
- Ctrl + U: Underline.
- Ctrl + 1: Format cells (opens Format Cells dialog box).
- Ctrl + N: Create a new workbook.
- Ctrl + O: Open an existing workbook.
- Ctrl + S: Save the active workbook.
- Alt + N + V: Insert PivotTable.
- Ctrl + F: Find.
- Ctrl + H: Replace.
- Ctrl + P: Print.
These are just a few shortcuts to get you started. Excel has many more shortcuts for specific functions and tasks. Learning and using shortcuts can greatly increase your productivity when working with Excel and the best part is that some of the functions above will also work with Microsoft Excel and your outlook email.
